Dr. Prabhuraj A. is a Professor of Agriculture Entomology at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur. His area of specialization includes pest ecology, biological control and ICT applications in agriculture. He has developed a novel ICT application ‘e-SAP’ (Electronic Solutions against Agriculture Pest) for crop health management. He is a recipient of ICAR Jawaharlal Nehru award for his Ph.D. research and the ‘Best teacher award’. He was also involved as a domain expert in developing ‘Agropedia’ platform in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. He has guided one Ph.D. and 15 M.Sc. (Ag) students in the field of entomology. He has published around 95 scientific papers in national and international journals and visited several countries for conferences/symposia.
